woodham in the sun herald also reminds us of the management of foodtown grey lynn ordering all staff to speak english at all times, even on their breaks. (staff are representitive of the multicultural delights of auckland in the zeros; samoans, maori, tongans, europeans, somalis, indians, chinese)
i can also second woodhams assertion that a more helpful, gracious, and dignified group of people/employees would be difficult to find.
(personal experience; two of these employees going out of their way/bending rules, to ensure my son and i were able to take advantage of a promotion they were running.)
this behavior by this manager must be stopped.
i’m announcing a personal boycott, untill they publicly announce this policy is revoked.
i will also be phoning/telling foodtown management of my decision, and i urge others to do so.
we can win this one; foodtown grey lynn used to be the only game in town; that aint so now.
phone/tell/email foodtown grey lynn and the foodtown head office.
let them and their manager/head office, know that they are right out of touch with the views/values of their customer base.
this sort of crap might play in christchurch, but not here.
hit them in their turnover, and they’ll cave in.
c’mon, let’s do it
With all due respect to Foodtown Mt Eden, for it is a very tidy and convenient supermarket. But I found $15 on the floor and handed it in, details were recorded in their red book. About a week later I was in the shop again and asked about the $15, but no record of it could be found. What is it with that?
