when i was covering the desty’s march yesterday, i was pissed off because i don’t have the equipment/gear to do live broadcasts.
ideally i would have liked to have been able to stream images and interviews/comment/impressions of the march live to this site; so those who weren’t there, could get a more honest impression of what went down.
that is one of the delights of this new arm of the media; the freedom/ability to present a much more comprehensive and complete picture than you can usually get, because of the inherent limitations and time restrictions of television news/radio news/print news.
live streams is something i will be doing on this site, but as i said, i haven’t got the gear yet.
what i’m hoping is that one/some of my regular visitors is/are able to help us in some way with gear, or sponsorship, or something of that ilk. (of course such assistance would be publicly acknowledged, if so desired).
i’m bringing up my boy, and circumstances dictate we exist on a domestic purposes benefit. so, it’s obvious i’m doing this gig on the smell of an oily rag.
that’s ok, it’s my bed etc. etc.. but to be able to do the job even better would be choice, eh?
over to you, cheers.
