it’s contract renegotion time for the tv1 newsreader…last year she screwed $800,000 out of them…for what this writers notes is four minutes a day on air..for five days a week..(giving her five days a week and only four weeks off a year, this works out at to an hourly rate of about 50 grand an hour….now i know she has travelling time etc, but she is paid 800 grand for her time on air …not in make-up or driving there)
and shouldn’t we get a bit of a non-ad-lib refund..?…i mean when there is a glich, baily freezes like a possum in headlights..
i think she has had an ad-lib by-pass…
so, my point is..that at that hourly rate surely that dead-air time would be worth heaps..
it should be totted up and discounted…
and surely they won’t be paying that sort of money again..
here’s an easy solution….let baily walk and slot that english guy who has been doing noon news straight in there..
he is seriously good at what he does…
and the tv1 audience will fall for him in no time…he’ll be the son/son-in-law they wish they had..
in no time they’ll be going judy who..?..much as they now go richard who..?
