that bastion of the mainstream media..the new york times..is looking decidedly shabby over the bush illegally spying on americans issue…
we now find the newspaper has been sitting on this story for over a year….
they were going to publish prior to the election in 2004…..but did not because the bush administration told them it was a ‘security issue’..
this ..of course..raises far more questions than are answered….
that arguably the most influential newspaper will bow the knee to the (politicaly/election tainted) demands of the american government makes a travesty of claims of free speech and media independence from the strictures/manipulations of the government of the day…
that what has been covered-up for over a year..(and could likely have changed the election result)..is the illegal actions of an american president (think nixon..for far less than this..)..only increases the unease….
