a couple of christchurch scientists have done a study that has been seized on and publicised worldwide by the prohibitionist industry(oops, am i being paranoid here?)
claims of increases of 1.6(?) and 1.8% in the chances of hearing voices and paranoid delusions; (like fear of getting busted? i’d put it higher than 1.8% myself), are in the report.
but, as reported in this mornings herald, the head of the study said questions about use of other drugs and wether the study subjects were more drawn to use drugs because of existing mental conditions. are relevant.
he also notes occaisonal use of the herb won’t harm you.
given these and other qualifications in the study, it makes you wonder how they managed to drag up the usual lurid headlines. (or am i just displaying those paranoia symptoms again?).
