this is the heralds’ take on the latest moves..
in there you will see hints of my thesis that tamihire isn’t going anywhere; and that this is the way clark and party president williams want it to be; (extended stress leave, indeed), …it’s as simple as this….it’s all about the election folks; and tamihere is labours’ best bet to stem the maori party flow…
but isn’t it interesting how tamihire has everyones’ undivided attention; and dancing to his tune?…
meanwhile out there in his support base, blokes (and blokettes) are ignoring the wailings, the lamentations, and the gnashing of teeth of the pollys, the mainstream media and commentators, and are saying “good one, mate. tell it like it is”.
clark knows this is the way it is; and that is what is making her teeth grind…
i just watched henare and trotter on breakfast;
henare frothing and banging on about vile world views; and trotter pontificating away as usual, but also as usual, miles off the mark.(he didn’t even touch on tamihere being labours best chance in the maori seats, surely the fulcrum in this whole issue, cor!)
as an aside, after the 1996 election i did an audit of the pundits’ predictions and comments;(i was studying politics at uni at the time; that’s my excuse anyway).
trotter stood out from the field by being so wrong about absolutely bloody everything; (go back and check for yourselves). since then i have a permanent question mark in place whenever he rattles the runes..
(mmmm, i think i will do another audit after this election; could be interesting…)
