trotter also gives the union leadership at the time birch emasculated them their due..as he tidily tags it “they just left the field.”
another appropriate comparison is with the union movement in australia when faced with the same concerted attack by the right…they all stood up and said “f##k off”..ours just rolled over and said “please be gentle with us, and please use a condom”..and then hung around for their govt honours..bah!
