i’ve searched through the print media..but nobody appears to have picked up on this one.. (so no link..sorry).
last night on tv3..in an item on how maori party support is slipping in some seats…tariana turia talked to the waverers..
she said she could understand some maori voters being scared of national getting in..(and launching a full-on attack on all things maori)..and are therefor thinking of switching back to labour..
her advice to these waverers is not to give their vote back to the party that has hurt them ..labour..and that the option they should chose..if they must..is the greens….!
i’m surprised the mainstream media didn’t pick up on this acknowledgment of the close/good relationship between the greens and the maori party…(and perhaps ‘surprising’ advice/endorsment from turia..)
and it is obvious that if the maori party is needed to form a coalition..the greens will be the ‘honest brokers’ with the credibility to be able to facilitate such a deal…
