the winner/loser/adversarial aspect is lessened…with forms of joint custody being the norm..children also get their own lawyers(this is an essential development)..
the media will also be granted access to family court hearings..( i would guess this would not be the most popular job for reporters..(harrowing/soul destroying would cover it), and aside from backgrounders on the workings of the court, the only interest i would see would be a prurient one involving (say) celebs/telly people..
but, all in all, these reforms are welcomed..
update: a closer reading tells me privacy issues rule out covering celebs..
