given the inter-generational crime-patterns sending 5 and 6 year old nippers to prison to visit dad…could be seen as an early form of ‘work-experience’..
but no….it is so the children can bond with those fathers….
and this all in the (commendable) name of post-prison rehabilitation…
now..like many ‘good’ ideas..this one has a few holes in it…
in that one cognizant factor is the high levels of illiteracy amongst prison inmates….eh..?
now..is this an idea..?
how about (effective) literacy/training programs in prisons…?
donchathink that might be a project to put into place at the same time as this ‘reading to nippers’ program..?
there do appear to be some synergies there..eh..?..
y’know..to do with the stated (once again..commendable) aims of rehabilitation..?
