In a bizarre performance Clinton blamed Comey – WikiLeaks – Russia – the New York Times and Netflix.

What’s missing?

But there comes a point when you just have to accept reality — and Clinton herself seems to be having a tough time with that.

The Code interview offers pretty broad insight into Clinton’s psyche nearly seven months on from the election.

The conversation starts with Mossberg asking Clinton to name one major misjudgment — discounting any outside forces — that her campaign made and that she wishes she had done differently.
It took Clinton 17 seconds to mention the word ‘Russians’— and a further 10 seconds to bring up the way her private email server was used against her.
Keep in mind this was after Mossberg asked her to name just one legitimate mistake she and her campaign made.
She couldn’t do it.

Clinton has always believed she is the victim of vast conspiracies — and so the conversation continues pretty much in the same vein for another 75 minutes – with Clinton providing probably her most extensive list yet of reasons why she lost – which naturally had absolutely nothing to do with her.

Clinton points fingers at Comey – the Russians and the media.

But her inability to look in the mirror says it all.

Even six months after the election Hillary Clinton is still loath to admit fault for her loss to Donald Trump last November.

That was the key takeaway at least from Clinton’s recent appearance at Recode’s ‘Code Conference’ during which the former Democratic presidential candidate pointed her finger at many people – but never quite herself.

‘I take responsibility for every decision I make — but that’s not why I lost’ insisted the former secretary of state  – who continues to place the majority of blame on former FBI Director James Comey – Russia (read: Vladimir Putin) and the reckless media.

Clinton also introduced a few new villains – calling out the New York Times — the paper that originally broke the story about her private email server — as well as the Democratic National Committee – which, according to Clinton ‘was on the verge of insolvency’ after she won the nomination and had data that was ‘mediocre to poor – nonexistent – wrong’.

Not surprisingly DNC data types took exception to Clinton’s description.
On Twitter – former DNC aide Andrew Therriault called her characterization ‘bullshit’ and outlined the ‘irony of her bashing DNC data’: Party models he said never had Michigan –  Wisconsin and Pennsylvania ‘looking even close to safe.
Her team thought they knew better’.

New data shines a light on reasons why the Democrats lost the election last Novebmber.

For many Democrats coming to terms with the unfortunate realities of the November election is still quite difficult – but new data shows that the argument many of the party’s leaders have asserted — that Hillary Clinton lost because her base didn’t turn out — doesn’t add up.

Clinton lost the election because she never had the support in the necessary places.

What makes it sting more for Democrats is that Barack Obama did have that support during his campaigns but this time around it went to Donald Trump.

Indeed, the voters who flipped from Obama to Trump in just four years have amassed 70 percent of the reason why Clinton lost the election – according to an analysis by the Democratic political firm Global Strategy Group.
Matt Canter – the senior vice president of the firm – has delivered these reports to party operatives – congressman – senators and think-tank leaders in order to properly inform and educate the party on what exactly happened.
‘We have to make sure we learn the right lesson from 2016 – that we don’t just draw the lesson that makes us feel good at night –  make us sleep well at night’ Canter said.

TF: You want to know the biggest lesson I learned touring Trumpland?

People hated Hillary Clinton.

To a degree that even I with my cynicism did not understand.

I did not hate Hillary Clinton.

I voted for her and I agreed with Obama that she was very qualified.

She deserved to be president.

I didn’t think she’d be a great president but I thought she’d be OK—certainly better than Donald Trump.

I knew how to hate Donald Trump.

That’s easy.

He boasts about groping women.

He says these evil things about Mexicans and mocks the handicapped.

It’s unbelievable the stuff this guy did and said.

Hating him was easy.

What I did not understand was the degree to which people really hated Hillary Clinton.

And that’s ultimately what this election was about:

Donald Trump tweeted late Monday night saying that the ‘Trump Russia story is hoax’ and attacked Hillary Clinton asking why the House Intelligence Committee has not been investigating the Clintons for various alleged ties to Russia.

Trump demanded a probe into the relations between the Clintons and the Kremlin on Monday.
