you should have no qualms in pulling your candidate in ohariu-belmont – and allowing greg o’connor to have a clear run at toppling peter dunne..
i have read you are uneasy because of his calls in his role as cop-union spokesperson for the police to be armed..
a reality-check on that issue is that that particular horse has already bolted – the cops are already armed – they just carry their weapons in the boots of their cars instead of on their hips..
i have heard your other concerns are because of his reactionary stances over the years on the pot-issue..
but if my memory serves me well i seem to recall a brief flurry of media coverage of o’connor having a revelation on the road to damascus on the pot-issue – this after a fact-finding tour he did to colorado..where he saw/experienced firsthand what the ending of prohibition has wrought – and it pleased him..so..?
and the numbers don’t lie – dunne won last time by about 700 – yr green candidate got about two and a half thousand – and dunne has been one of your most implacable opponents/spoilers in parliament – for many long years..
so all in all – it adds up to o’conor being as good as anyone to give dunne the boot..eh..?..so the green party should do all it can to make that happen..eh..?
..ad at the very least – that means pulling your candidate totally from that race (and maybe party co-leaders strongly camapigning there for the party vote..?..i se that course of action having a good outcome for all – except dunne…
it’s a no-brainer really..eh..?
and as for andrew ‘te bogan’ little – who better than to have o’connor explaining a u-turn on the reactionary attitudes of the labour party to date – on the issue of cannabis…?
have him doing the media-rounds and becoming a de-facto spokes-person on this issue based upon the contents of his revelations on the road to damascus/colorado..?
as i said – who better for that task than him..?..and you are just going along with the arguments of an undoubted ‘expert’ on the issue..eh..?
and he will only be articulating what poll after poll on this issue shows most new zealanders want..
an ending of the madness that is cannabis prohibition – and a promised focus from you/labour on the real ‘drug that plagues us’..?..namely ‘p’..?
