(ed:..it’s been over 20 years since i went vegan – and before that i was vegetarian for about 15 years..
so it is about 35 years since i have eaten animal flesh – and i cannot over-emphasise how the passage of time only increases/strengthens the certainties behind that decision to stop eating animal-flesh – and then 15 years later to shed the bye-products as well.
i actually tried some of that plant-based chicken recently – and tho’ i can see the benefits of plant-based meats as a form of methadone for carnivores – and as being much easier on the planet than animal-sourced flesh..it wasn’t for me..
i really don’t desire the sensations of eating chicken – or a blood-dripping steak – albeit plant-based..
and i pass on these observations to confirm for recent/thinking about it-vegans that the longer you are vegan the further way you get from those previous taste/texture-urges to eat chickens etc..)
Five years ago I went vegan.
It’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
I didn’t stop eating meat, dairy and eggs because I didn’t like the taste.
I stopped because I saw an undercover video that exposed how innocent animals were ruthlessly abused and slaughtered.
Here’s why I am never going back and the millions of other vegans aren’t either.
