The number of vegans in the the UK has shot up by 350% to 542,000 people in a decade.
This increase seems mainly to be driven by young people – almost half of all vegans are aged 15-34.
Some of these people will choose to bring up their children the same way.
For many the idea of raising a child on a vegan diet might seem difficult to comprehend.
Here parents talk about how you can safely raise children on a plant-based diet.
(ed:..i know people with very healthy vegan children – especially when you consider how much sugar/fat/salt-laden rubbish food is fed to so many children..
..i actually find the sight of those on much less healthy diets – and feeding their children this rubbish – fretting over/pointing fingers at vegan-parents – the vegan diet..somewhat hilarious..
..and of course totally ridiculous..
..(as a disclaimer i should note i have been doing ok on a vegan diet for about 17 years..)
